Low season generally follows the warmer months; each seller sets its own dates. The examples span published 2026–27 tariffs and undated seasonal lists. Where a year is missing, confirm that the tariff applies to your departure. Cruise packages below advertise full board and guided itinerary visits with entrance fees; check transfers, drinks, tips and optional trips in the final quote. The felucca example is a one-night package with meals and visits, from one seller.

Holiday peaks sit outside these ranges. For example, Princess Farida lists USD 2,450 per person for 29 March–15 April 2027 and USD 2,700 for 20–31 December 2027, on the same three-night double-occupancy basis.

### Booking.com & Agoda: dated searches

Booking.com showed Historia’s double/twin cabin for two adults at about USD 2,662 for 18–21 June 2027 and USD 3,624 for 15–18 January 2027. These are whole-room totals for three nights, adding the displayed taxes and fees: USD 2,025 + 637 in June and USD 2,756 + 868 in January.

Both were advertised member rates requiring sign-in, with full board and no refund. Sightseeing inclusion was not confirmed. These room quotes are separate from the guided packages above. Agoda showed the selected Nile Cruise Luxor Aswan listing as sold out for 15–18 January 2027, for two adults; no Agoda price is included. All searches were checked on 27 September 2026. Recheck the final total and sailing itinerary before booking.

## Before you book a boat

No named vessels have been verified here yet. Use these questions to compare written offers for the boat and departure you are considering.

### Whole boat or a cabin on a shared departure?

A private charter reserves the boat for your group; a shared departure means travelling with other guests, not necessarily sharing your cabin. Ask who can change the itinerary, whether a minimum group is required, and what happens if too few people book.

### Boarding point and transfers

Ask for the vessel’s name, operator, exact landing and boarding time in writing. A journey described as Luxor–Aswan may include a road transfer to Esna. Confirm who arranges and pays for transfers, where luggage goes, and when you need to be ready for disembarkation.

### Sails, towing and the daily plan

A dahabiya may use sails and tug assistance during the same journey. Ask how the operator plans around wind and river conditions, which stops are fixed, and what changes when sailing takes longer. A promise of a fixed number of hours under sail needs clarification before you rely on it.

### Where you stop and what you see

Distinguish an overnight berth from a shore excursion. Ask whether you may moor beside another boat, how you reach land, and which visits include transport, tickets and a guide. A small vessel does not have permission to stop anywhere its passengers choose.

### Choose the actual cabin

Request a deck plan marking your cabin, beds and bathroom. Check dimensions, windows, ventilation or air conditioning, and nearby engines, stairs and shared areas. Photographs of a different cabin or vessel cannot settle these details. Ask how cabin substitutions are handled.

### Compare usable days as well as nights

Lay out boarding, sailing, excursions and departure on the same calendar. An extra night may add time on the river, another stop, or time at a berth; ask which. Choose the itinerary that leaves the balance of visits and rest you want, with enough time for onward travel.

### What the quote includes

Compare written totals for the same dates, cabin and number of guests. Check meals, drinks, guides, tickets, transfers, taxes and any expected gratuities. Ask for deposit, cancellation, refund and vessel-substitution terms. Use published reference prices to plan a budget; ask the seller for a quote for your departure.

### Children and supervision

Describe your children’s ages and needs when asking about cabin occupancy, meals, railings, lifejackets and shore transfers. Confirm who supervises children and what happens in an emergency. A family-friendly label does not establish childcare, other children on board or a safe pool arrangement.

### Check every part of the access route

Describe the assistance or equipment you use. Request measurements and recent images of gangways, steps, doors, bathrooms and the route between your cabin and dining area. Check each shore excursion separately. Ask what can be changed and what cannot; no vessel here has undergone an access assessment.

### Dates and weather

Choose dates around the time you can spend outdoors and the arrangements available on your actual boat. Confirm shade, cooling, excursion timing and the operator’s response to unsuitable river conditions. Check forecasts near departure; a seasonal description cannot predict the weather on your sailing.

### Pack for the boat and the shore

Ask about luggage storage, laundry, towels, charging sockets and drinking water before packing. Bring the personal essentials you depend on and clothing and footwear suited to the confirmed excursions and forecast. Resolve supply needs before boarding rather than relying on an unconfirmed shopping stop.
