If your dates are fixed, adjust the pace: fewer sites and longer breaks can make a real difference. ## Before you go Luxor has a desert climate: summers are very hot, while winter days are generally milder and nights can feel cold. Rain is uncommon, but weather warnings still matter. Check the forecast close to your visit, especially for heat, dust and strong winds. The cooler months give you more flexibility for outdoor visits. They can also be busy, so leave time for queues and avoid promising yourself an empty site at opening.
